Ana Bivol, Violin
Ana Bivol is a talented violinist from Chisinau, the capitol city of the Republic of Moldova. She has accomplished many achievements including being a first violinist of the Opera di Trento in Italy, and a violinist in the chamber music orchestra of the National Theater, “Mihai Eminescu,” in Chisinau. Ana has worked with some of the best Russian composers, including V. Spivacov and M. Gorenstein, as a first violinist of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Ana has attended The Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts for violin performance in Chisinau, and is now a masters student of violin performance at the DePaul School of Music in Chicago. In addition to her musical talents, she is fluent in English, Romanian, Russian and French, and enjoys traveling and discovering new countries and cultures.
Jung Tsai, Violin
A native of Taipei, Taiwan, violinist Jung Tsai started playing violin at the age of 5. She gave her first performance in National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan in 1994. She was chosen to give performances in the “Young Concert Artists Concert Series” and Jung has also won 3rd prize in Taiwan Chamber Orchestra Competition. Jung made her professional debut playing Brahms Violin Concerto with the Mannes Community Orchestra in 2011 as the winner of the Mannes Extension Concerto Competition. In the past years, she has participated in several festivals and master classes with Mikhail Kopelman, James Buswell, Helmut Zehetmair, Josef Silverstein, Ivry Gitlis and Martin Beavor. Jung received a Bachelors of Music Performance at Mannes College where she studied with Prof. Nina Beilina. Currently, she is a student of DePaul School of Music pursuing a masters degree and studying with Prof. Ilya Kaler.
Olga Prohorova (Prohorov), Violin
Olga was born in Chisinau, rep. of Moldova. She started her violin studies at age of five at “Ciprian Porumbescu” republican music lyceum. Among her many achievements are several national and international competitions: “Zlata Tkach” (Moldova, 1st prize) , “Eugen Koka” (Moldova, 3rd prize) , “Mihail Kliofas Oginski” (Belarus, 2nd prize) , “Cornelia Bronzetti” (Romania, 3rd prize) , “Nedealka Semeonova” (Bulgaria, 3rd prize) , “Dobrin Petkov” (Bulgaria,2nd prize) , “George Georgescu” (Romania, Grand Prix 2010), “Russian Music Virtuosi” (Moldova, 2nd prize). At the moment Olga is a student at Roosevelt University ‘s Chicago College of Performing Arts with prof. Mark Lakirovich.
